How does Carolina Key work?
- Carolina Key allows you to set up a device-specific authentication method which you can use instead of typing in your Onyen password.
- The authentication methods vary and may be different for each device you register – examples include: pin numbers, facial recognition, and fingerprint scanning. The University will not send, capture, or store your biometric data regardless of which method you use.
- If you already use one of these authentication methods on your phone or laptop Carolina Key can work seamlessly with your existing setup to streamline your workday.
