The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) is pleased to announce the 2024 Summer Writing Group (SWG) Program.
Now in its eleventh year, the SWG brings faculty members from all disciplines and career stages together in small groups to spur writing productivity and foster cross-disciplinary connections. The program begins with an orientation meeting in May which allows faculty members to meet with their assigned groups based on their expressed preferences. Groups meet regularly throughout the summer at times that suit them, and they have the freedom to structure their activities to best meet their goals.
We also offer a mini writing retreat, connection to the NCFDD 14-day Writing Challenge, dedicated spaces for faculty to write, and additional writing resources to program participants.

The Summer Writing Group Program Orientation and Kick-Off will be held on Wednesday, May 1, from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM in Carroll Hall 111. Participants can also join on Zoom.
As the CFE Director, I see the Summer Writing Group Program as one of the most valuable pan-university programs that we offer. We have heard from faculty the value of connecting with colleagues in a collaborative atmosphere.
