Duo, one of the 2-Step Verification methods that UNC-Chapel Hill uses, is ending their support for the traditional authentication prompt experience on March 30, 2024. This change impacts many of the applications that use Duo at the University.
Anyone verifying with Duo will notice visual changes when logging into the following applications:
- ConnectCarolina (Human Resources and Student Administration)
- Duo Registration / Device Registration / ONYEN Sign up (onyen.unc.edu)
- Self-Service (selfservice.unc.edu)
- Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Citrix
The changes will vary based on the application.
