Syllabus
Below you will find resources to help you design your syllabus. Instructors are expected to have a complete version of each course syllabus prepared and ready to share with students by the first day of class.
Shortly before the beginning of the semester, you will receive an email reminding you to submit your syllabus at either the Canvas or Sakai website, depending on which learning management system you are using. The email will include information about how to upload your syllabus and what should be included in it.
Syllabi from previous semesters can be found at the Park Library website.
Graduate-level Work in 400-600-level Courses
Students may count credit hours from 400-to-600-level courses taken at UNC-Chapel Hill during their graduate program toward their graduate degree. The syllabus for each of these courses must clearly indicate what graduate-level work must be completed beyond the expectations for undergraduate students in the course. Faculty are encouraged to review the following guidelines at the beginning of each semester:
- Teaching graduate students in 400-to-600-level courses (last updated in January 2024)
