The Staff Excellence Award recognizes teamwork, creativity, commitment, flexibility and a positive attitude. All Hussman faculty, staff and students are eligible to nominate up to three staff members. Self-nominations are allowed.

  • Each nomination should be done separately. If you have trouble submitting a second or third nomination, please use a different browser.
  • Nominations should be 200-300 words and submitted on the basis of: teamwork; ambassadorship; creativity and innovation; job performance excellence; leadership; commitment; dependability; flexibility; positive attitude; “beyond the call of duty;” skills improvement; initiative; and more.
Full-time and part-time permanent staff members (SHRA and EHRA non-faculty) with one year of more of service to UNC Hussman as of April 1 of the award presenting year are eligible. Staff cannot receive the award for three years after receiving it.
All UNC Hussman faculty, staff, and students are eligible to submit a nomination. Self-nominations are allowed. Nominations must be submitted online on the school’s website by March 20. Each nomination should be done separately. Nominations should be 200-300 words.
The selection committee consists of the award winners for the two previous years. When considering a nomination, the committee will consider the following: Teamwork; ambassadorship; creativity and innovation; job performance excellence; leadership; commitment; dependability; flexibility; positive attitude; “Beyond the Call of Duty”; skills improvement; initiative; and more.
